When saving your work, please leave the default comment but add what you actually mapped, for example "added buildings and a residential road".

There are two possibilities to get the address data.

Variant 1: Download address data of a community from the tasking manager. See also the video tutorial.

Advantage: Easy and fast workflow.

Variant 2: The complete way to get the address data from the GEBADR data from the Canton of Bern is described in OSM Wiki and in another video tutorial.

Advantage: You can always get the actual version, you see how the data are processed, and you can filter and edit the data in a spreadsheet like Excel before importing. You have all data stored on your computer.

Alternatively, you can also get the prepared file from github (updated from time to time), then you can directly start with editing/filtering the addresses of interest in Excel.

Completion Status

Done

All addresses are imported to OSM if the buildings are visible on aerial imagery or official survey. Missing building outlines are drawn. The addresses are merged to buildings whenever possible. Sometimes (especially in cities), you will find also address nodes, which is also fine.

Validated

Another person checks whether some addresses were forgotten or not yet merged to buildings (see commands on github for overpass turbo ). Non-rectangular building outlines are corrected (if building is rectangular of course).
